Edit employee email address

Add ability to change an employee's email address. Remove the limitation that an email address can only be used once in a single Sage Payroll account. Also, an employee who has multiple employers using Sage Payroll should be able to use their email address.

    Hi Everyone!


    Our product teams have been working hard to deliver this feature and now I can say it has been released!

    You will notice on every employee's record in Sage HR there is now an option to edit the email address.

    If the employee has never activated their login (as in never signed into Sage HR) this is in such cases as incorrect email or temp emails used for employees, you will be prompted with the screen to be able to change it to a new email and resend the invite to the employee.


    In the situation where the employee has activated, it will let you know and provide instructions either to you or the employee of how they will need to change their login to whatever new email you would like for them to use. Once they have changed the email, it will automatically flow back through to HR & Payroll for the employee

    Would love to see this. I think to do it, we would need to create a separate field for Login and Email, rather than email serving as both.

    It's how we do it in Sage People, where a login must be unique to the system to identify which org it belongs to, but the email address can be used more than once across different orgs. Makes it a lot easier for when people sign up for a trial, but later want to start a new org and can't because their email has already been used...

    Or when importing employees into an org, only to have some fail because their email addy was used in another org some time in the past.
